old tin toy, black americana, any idea on the maker?

I recently acquired this. My best guess is this was made by Gunthermann and is German, but that's just a guess. Anyone have any more insight?

 

He reminds me of the central character in Marx 'Jazzbo Jim' or the 'Charleston Trio' but the cabin he's dancing on and two flanking characters are missing.
He's either a bonafide variant or a marriage of two different toys.

 

The Strauss 'Ham & Sam' look like the one,makes more sense than Marx-good find INH.I'd love to find one of these in the box.

 

Looks like it spent a long time in the hot sun without ever being moved.
