Old solid brass oil cap, car part ?

    found this the other day, looks old, solid heavy. something tells me its an old car part, but unsure

    beautiful colour !!

    You’d need to post on an old/antique car forum to find out if for a car or not. I seriously doubt it is. More likely for some machine tool. The B6122 May be the manufacturer’s part number.
