Old Sheffield Candleabra

    image.jpeg Got a really nice antique Candleabra and it shows the dating 1785-1860 , I guess it doesn't give you an exact date from this picture ?

    that's a pretty large range for dating..

    Yes , it sure does but it's definaltey well over a hundred years old and the beauty is still there .

    I can't read the writing but that looks like a copyright symbol so it can't be all that old. Could you post a slightly larger picture?

    Silverplated cast spelter, mid 20th century or later, designs supposedly produced from Old Sheffield Plate dies - they do actually sell fairly well though. Bell Mark Sheffield Silver was in business from 1950 'til a few years ago, a good part of their production in later years was plated goods for the hospitality industry...

    Yes the beauty is still there....the age...not so much !
