Featured Old Scroll Pin

This is an old scroll pin that I got in a thrift store grab bag purchase a few years ago. It has some markings on it that I was not able to find on some of the hallmark sites. There is the number 3, a lady and the letter w. There looks like another mark upper left of these marks that I can't make out. Does anyone know the marks on this pin? Thanks in advance for any help.

 

The mark is Polish for .800 silver.

That's it! Thank you Bakersgma. I was at that site but didn't look at World Hallmarks Nations. I looked everywhere else but there. Now I know where to look there for other Nations. Thanks again.

 

By trying to clean up those scraping marks, I THINK what I'm seeing is like a lamb, but I could also be totally wrong..........

 

Looks like it's a blob of solder,it it were a mark it would be level with the rest of the surface as the other mark is.

 

Aquitaine, after I had posted the images and looked at it online I saw the exact same thing you were seeing so I cleaned up that area and it turned out to be what Hollyblue said it looked like. Thanks for pointing that out, you never know.

The W is for Warsaw. The mark was introduced in 1920. The hinge is 1920s-30s

 

Thanks Any Jewelry for the info on the date of the hinge. I was wondering how old this pin was and that info helped.
