Old oil painting portrait #2

Hi all, I was hoping some of you may be able to provide additional information to an old portrait oil painting of a finely dressed lady and it is something I am considering purchasing. This also looks very old and nicely painted, although I am trying to find out more about it. Paint looks to be separating or cracking in areas as you can see. Would any of you happen to say what age it may be and possible origins, the sitter or even an artist. No sign of any signature, please also excuse any shadow in my photos form my phone.

Any help, views or opinions greatly appreciated.

So I think I have identified the subject of your painting, and I think others will probably tell you it was painted by an art student during their studies. It seems like a common assignment was to reproduce a master painter.

The quality of the reproduction is quite good. I'd think it was done by a professional copyist, the kind that used to work in museums into the 1960s.
