Old Native American Tomahawk Plains?

Picked up a cool tomahawk. 16 3/4" long. Not sure what type of wood was used. Beadwork looks hand done, not sure about the sewing on the leather ends, its not perfect so maybe hand done as well? Anyone have opinions on age?

The brads in the end are upholstery tacks. the leather looks new.

 

The beadwork is done on a loom, looks modern and completely inappropriate age for the rest of it. I'm suspicious against any of it being NA.

It was intentionally made crudely, beaten and rusted

I wanted to add a comment regarding the upholstery tacks. Tacks can be found on actual Native American pieces. They were used as decoration on guns, tomahawks, and sometimes other items that have wood. They are typically round brass tacks. Here's an example:

Yes,I have an old shot gun with the round tacks but these have the design on them and I think more modern.
