Old looking chair

    Anyone know anything about this chair ? I have a book on antique and vintage furniture but doesn't show this one .

    I dunno that much about furniture but some things about the chair seem to say to me it is late 20th C. Made in a quasi-early 20th C. Style. If Brad shows up he’ll know for sure, I’m just giving a gut feel for it not really based on knowledge. It looks reasonably well-made.

    The construction on that seat makes me wonder if it's not actually one of the old ones. Not that it makes much difference money-wise. The local Habitat for Humanity ReStore just about gives these away. The style isn't popular.

    Early 1900s American Oak chair.
    Seat obviously has been replaced.

    Agree, circa 1900 oak press-back. Would have been part of a set.
