I got this knife from estate sale.
According to seller it is from Alaska and the handle is fossilized wallrus tusk.
    The blade is Damascus steel.
Can anyone confirm that and maybe point on when it was made.
No marks on any kind on blade or handle.

These knives are popping up at flea markets and craft fairs. I saw some just like it last summer at the Yarmouth Pirate Festival here on Cape Cod. My son and grandson collect knives so I'm always checking out vendors who sell them. I suspect it's made in China.

These days I assume everything's made in China until proven otherwise. When I find an ancient piece w/ a 'Made In India' or 'Japan' stamp I'm ecstatic-it's an artifact,a unicorn.
