Old Japanese dresser

    My mother pulled this off the side of the road when she was in Japan in the 1980s.
    She wants to junk it, but I wanted to check with the experts first just in case it's something special.

    No idea, but it's asian AND shabby chic. It's not junk, for certain.

    Love this. Japanese pine chest with some good age to it. In the 90s, I was in a shop in San Francisco that specialized in refinished Japanese pine chests like this. They had a beautiful silky smooth oiled finish and were gorgeous. Needless to say, they were not cheap. I have wanted one ever since. If you are going to junk it, send it my way. Look up Japanese Tansu to see more examples.
