Old Doll With Moving Arms

This is a small doll, 7" tall. Her arms move and are possibly connected with cord. Shoes, eyes, lips are painted on. How old is this doll and who would have made it?

Liking it to Nancy Ann in style.......but is not......probably from the 40's/50's.

Consider this to be in poor condition.

Her mouth and eyelashes appear to have been repainted.

I agree with Judy on all points .. I actually have one of them hanging around here somewhere .. a cheap play doll in its time .. no value to speak of, but some little girls treasure back then .. Joy.

I have a similar doll with the same body. Mine has blond hair and is in worse condition. I played with it a lot as a child. It was my aunt's or great-aunt's.

 

Much loved then .. there are still a lot of them around, I never had a doll as a child .. Joy.

 

Not as late as you might think Joy!
