Found at Goodwill this morning. Including donation I paid $2.00
It is 7" diameter and 2" tall. That's about all I know.
    Thanks in advance

I think it may be Western Apache. It looks like the foundation of the coil is made up of fine wooden rods/splints (as opposed to bundles of grass). Can you tell how many rods are stacked?

    Nice find!

Inside the bundles, under the wrapped-around fiber: is it like 3 rods of thin woody plant. As opposed to lots of grass, which is much thinner. You may be able to tell by looking closely at any spot where the wraps are a little more spread apart.

I was telling my buddy about you the other day. How when it comes to thrift stores it’s persistence that pays off. That and living in a wealthy area helps.

Thanks. Persistence more than the wealthy area though. Maybe it's California as a whole. And the younger generations not having a clue what's worth keeping.
