    I think the writing is Dutch. Something about reminder of Friday? There’s a word I can really read. Maybe it’s about Good Friday?

    I’m no art expert, but it does look like a sketch of another work of art (judging by the circle with a hint of a pattern behind the head). Identifying the original this was based on could be useful and satisfy my piqued curiosity. :D

    I think it is lovely but agree with Venny that it's based on another work. In fact it rings a distant bell ...

    To find the artist maybe take it out frame and look for a watermark and/or maybe a name is written on the backside off the drawing . Could even be older then the date written on the carton
