Hello, I found this nice free chair today and it has a unique look to it and I was just wondering if anyone could share any info on it. Any info would be great, style, time period, purpose. Anyways it's probably not worth much at all but I thought it would be a fun re-do project since it has a cool look too it. Thanks

Looks to be a 60s - 70s modern lounge chair. Can't tell much from your pics but may be walnut. Kind of has a Danish influence to the design but, whether actually Danish, impossible to tell. I don't think it is from one of the designer makers but could be wrong.

Yea the pics suck after I resized them but it is very solidly built. No markings if any kind. But no matter that is way more information than I had on it. I didn't even have a starting point for where to begin. Thanks

Looks kind of like Danish modern, is it put together without screws? Kind of looks like teak which would be a strong indicator of being Scandinavian. I would determine the wood type if I were you.

I enlarged your pictures Postman so people can get a better look.
We could probably use a close up though.

    Hi Postman87,
Most people will NOT click on your links. Please post photos on your reply. Nothing personal but too many have had problems.

What the best way to add quality pictures and I will do that. I keep trying to upload but the file is too large

I did take a look at your linked pics and don't have too much to add. It is not walnut, but rather some kind of tropical hardwood. It could be teak but very hard to tell as the chair is terribly weathered and the finish mostly gone. This is some kind of import and not terribly old. I am not sure it is as old as the 70s but could be. Sorry to say, I don't see much to get excited about here and the condition makes me even less enthusiastic.

Thanks for the input, it is greatly appreciated. Yeah it is definitely not in great shape but glad to know more about it than I initially did. I'll prolly do a project with it just for kicks, but keep it cheap. Thanks everyone for the help

Resize them. This can be done by most image editing programs, even with the generic Paint program that comes with Windows. There are many many apps for smartphones and iPads that have options to resize images. Some of the apps are freebies. The "best" size for all to view either on desktop computers down to iPads and phones:

    Dimension-wise: 650px wide X 100 to 660px high
    Weight-wise: not much over 100KB

Any larger pics are hard for iPads, phones and older computers to load and view.

This following pic of yours was around...
    Dimension-wise: 1024px wide X 576px high
    Weight-wise: 80 KB

I suspect the website automatically resized it down to this size on you uploading it. Here is the same pic after I resized it. Now it is ...
    Dimension-wise: 650px wide X 366px high
    Weight-wise" 17KB
