I've recently come across an unusual, old (supposedly!) craquele-type ceramic model of two cats playing. To my untrained eye, it could be from Japan.

The rather simplistic mark on the underside and the intentional heavier craquele effect gives me the impression that it may be just a modern deco item.
In any event, I've never come across anything similar and would be very interested to find out exactly what it is. According to the seller, it measures c 20cm diameter and is quite heavy.

Has anyone come across this mark before or be able to shed any light on the origin or age of this piece.
Any suggestions will be most welcome.
