Hoping someone can make out this or know who made this plate.
Purchased at my local Russian thrift.
It is 7 3/4" and weight is almost 12 oz.

It is very typical of items made all over the Mideast. The small cartouche with characters unfamiliar to me is the only hope for determining the origin. Show it to people from many different Mideastern countries and see if anyone knows. Focus on places where Russians visit often or places where they’ve sent armed forces (begin with Afghanistan.)

If you find someone to interpret the cartouche, they may have trouble even if that’s their native language, because the stamp didn’t leave a complete impression. It hit very lightly on right side and bottom leaving the characters indistinct.

There must be someone here that could read it. Maybe @Any Jewelry might know who. Or @Bakersgma might know who can read it.
    Happy New Year.

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

I don't know who can read it -- But am envious that you live near a Russian thrift store. It would be fun to shop a place like that.

And Happy New Year to you!
