Old? Brass Hammered Dovetailed vases

    I have never seen dove tailing on brass. These are unmarked. 1 is a hair smaller then the other. 8" and 8 1/2" tall.

    The technique has been used for centuries in numerous countries,more common name is a"cramped seam". It is still common in India,etc. on vessels made of silver,copper and brass.

    Yep, right on Hollyblue, just thought I would mention a dovetail joint is completely different from this type of joint. Here's a diagram:
