Found this awesome brooch/pendant. The enamel work is beautiful, with a little wearing off the right side but all in all still decent condition for the age. Someone soldered a newer safety clasp on the back pretty sloppily but for $10 I am not complaining. The gold has tarnished but there is none wearing off anywhere whatsoever. I need to test it still but am confident it is something solid, probably 10k. How old do you guys think this is?? It has a tube hinge so maybe early 1900s?

Looks like the main part was die stamped, then the edge border soldered on to it.The bad soldered piece looks like lead solder, maybe a home repair.

That's an old rollover too. The shorter pin stem indicates this is later Victorian - 1890s?

    The design looks somewhat symbolic.
    I see fleur de lis.
    French maybe?

    Another very nice find, spart.
I think ca 1900 American, and agree with you, the badly soldered safety clasp is a later replacement. That is no problem, those are often replaced.
The loss of enamel is only small. Many people wouldn't find it a problem. And you can always 'kyratise' it, as our wonderful @kyratango probably would.

Fleur de lis are a pretty generic heraldic symbol. Several Dutch towns and one province carry the fleur de lis in their crest, as do many other towns around Europe. If the 'lis' are gold on blue they are generally regarded as French.
Fleur de lis means lily flower, but they are actually irises. What's in a name.;)
