Oil Portrait

    Saw this at an estate sale today but did not buy it because I can't read the siggy and it was kind of pricey. Wonder if the portrait could be of someone famous?

    The date looks like it's in the 70s. The guy in the portrait looks like he's from the 70s too. The beard just screams 70s to me.

    No idea on artist or sitter, but I do like the way it's painted. But a nicely painted anonymous portrait is a hard sell.

    i think they most likely had no idea. you know how they boost the prices on the first day of the estate sales. at the same time you can find something valuable for cheap.
