    Welcome to the forum. Not sure how you came up with Benson, the painting is not one of his. The artists initials are F.M., on the back and matches signature. Good that the date is there, I think 1911 or 12.

    I think it's a copy of 'Summer Afternoon' by Benson, painted in 1906.

    :( upset, of course, so I wanted to have the original, because I drove away any thoughts that this was not so. but maybe someone knows who drew a copy? she is. 1911
