I just picked up this oddball small stove. Maybe kerosene or alcohol??? The stove is 14 inches tall, with tank up 36 inches. I can find the “Quick Meal” stove company stove company, but nothing about this stove??? The Tank folds down for transport? or filling the tank?? In all my years, I have never seen anything like this?

"What is the history of quick meal stove?

The St. Louis based Quick Meal Stove Company was started by two German immigrants in 1881. The business sold housewares, early washing machines, and cooking stoves they called "Quick Meals." In 1901, Quick Meals merged with several other stove companies to become the American Stove Company.Jun 19, 2020."

Very cool old stove! Please tell me that people didn't use these indoors.

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

Mid 1890s... according to images and links posted above. That's what I was thinking, based on the way the piece is decorated. Interesting history that people found!
