This is what I bought today. Lightweight, which pinchbeck is, and a very good colour too. Beatifully made with an old tongue clasp.

1st Dibs seller took/made an offer, so necklace did not sell for $7,000, but probably for what was still a hefty chunk of change.

 

It is gorgeous, obb, great find! Excellent craftsmanship and beautiful colour! And yes, it could be late 18th century.

I sometimes wonder if people we have bought these fabulous items from (car boot, Charity shops etc) will one day find their way to Antiquers and realise their errors.

What’s also amazing is that you can get two coffees for a fiver? Round here there would barely be change for one!

 

Went into Starbucks not long ago, (I hardly ever go in there) my SIL got me cup of green tea, which was hot water in a cup with teabag, it was over £3!

 

Absolutely BEAUTIFUL! An amazing and envious find, no matter the worth.

Considering posts here with images show up at the top of google and lens in under an hour? Yeaaaah, that is always on my mind. I try to think of that when I tell the story of aquiring, because if the seller was particularly nice then I don't want to be mean on the off chance they see it.

 

I think I found those here once, or similar. Once. They never took off. K-cups however are everywhere, which I find a total ripoff, especially since I just found a 450G bag of really good ground coffee in my local job lot chain for US$4.
