Sometimes the stone looks grey, then pale lavender, then pale blue. On my cheapo diamond tester it’s coming up as a 9 so I thought maybe a sapphire? But it glows browny red under UV. So I’m a bit confused, does it look cobbled together? BDC and 9ct lasered on inner shank.
JBB and 925 stamped on the silver mounting.
Any thoughts on the stone please? The main pictures were all taken outside together.

    Mmmmmm! A yummy rose cut!
Perhaps sapphire or maybe topaz? Rock crystal/quartz?

    I love it, gorgeous stone.
A colourless sapphire will fluoresce orange, red, or orangey red. Does that sound like your stone?

BDC is Blue Diamond Club. Sold on Amazon and Ebay. JBB is an Israeli silver findings company.

It does as sometimes from some angles there’s very little colour but I took it to the Auction and the jewellery person said it was sort of a slow climber to 9 on her pen style tester so she would just say it was a blue stone so I decided not to put it in for auction.

Thanks OBB. I can only find gold filled and very cheap looking items on the BDC website. Maybe mine has been cobbled together using a better stone perhaps taken from something else.
One for the nieces I think.

Not too likely. if the OP is blindingly lucky, a natural color-change sapphire of some sort. I'd be wondering about how synthetics read.

    Its
White-tak Pearls, I ran out of Blue -tak, problem is the white does get grubby picking up dust etc but it’s good for getting rings and bangles in the position you want.

Houseful-If I may ask-What Auction Site do You use ?

I’ve never been brave enough to use EBay or Etsy so I use a local Auction house, they have specialist sales from time to time. I know I don’t get top dollar but I don’t pay much for my items and the next owner can make a bit too. If you look at the finds forum you see I shop at the Chazzas, Bootsales, Jumbles, Fetes etc.
I have sold some things locally at boot sales, Gumtree and Facebook marketplace but never the good jewellery.

I think a local Auction house would be much less stressful than Ebay or Etsy.
