Odd Height Chair

    The chair is really small for a dining room chair
    It is 35 inches High and the seat is just 15 inch above the ground and it is 20 wide.
    Does anybody know anything about this chair ?

  4. i was told they were slipper chairs for women with hoops under their dresses to sit and put on their shoes.

    Yes, slipper chair would be the term. Usually the backs aren't upholstered. I'd guess this one to be ca. 1860.
