The backing cardboard on this is somewhat the worse for wear. The image measures about 4x8.5 inches and shows a bunch of teenaged boys in suits and ties with overcoats. No clue who they are, but some have armbands of some kind. Date...call it 1920?
What I bought it for I have no clue.

Possibly a funeral grouping for a distinguished school faculty person?

I have many 'yardlongs', the vast majority US Navy related. The only others I would buy were for an ex as when I met her SHE had a yardlong of the Miss America group in 1927. I loved it.
I don't recall which one of us termed that a 'girl gang'. This became defined as 3 or more. What do you think I looked for for her from then on? ;)
    ~
So... Now you can start a 'Boy Gang' collection! ;)
    ~
My oldest Navy yardlong is at an encampment in San Diego, probably the now closed boot camp, in 1917! It is '53" long.

I promised myself I wouldn't spend any time here this AM. Got work to do.

For some reason that grabbed my attention.

You have about 300 males on that. Correct anything I say, or try to fill in
They seem to be very different ages. That's based on the hats.
Some have vests on. Unusual, I believe, for teenagers.
Most likely a school, but questionable to me because of the clothing.
On the other hand you have the requisite head honcho standing back left.
Unless that's just the tallest member of the basketball team.
    OK, Nuff. See you tomorrow.
Meanwhile I'll try to stay less somber than KOT.:sorry:

OK, but please, both of you, keep this between the three of us.

The first part will be just a quick interview. Supposedly the second part cannot be delayed. They will HAVE TO consider me, but I doubt the Ah's will confirm me.

This is in the giveaways for a reason. Anyone want to give the poor orphaned boys a good home?

Thanks very much for the offer. But I simply do not have enough bedrooms for all of them. Never mind bathrooms. :(

Boys have been known to use trees and bushes. A friend lets her boys walk the perimeter of their property to keep the deer away.(LOL)

    GaleriaGila Hola, y'all!

Heyyyyyyyyyyyyy... yes, I do see the two guys at bottom right, with the arm bands and the guy in front is holding what looks like a big envelope or newspaper, or...? I wonder what role they played in this group.

    Hi Evelyn,
Throw me into the drawing. I wish my property was bigger I would pee outside not only to keep the deer away but would not have to "amble" back to use the bathroom.:rolleyes::rolleyes:
