Short but interesting article. Does anyone here collect antique/vintage fishing gear? I have a few antique lures from my grandfather but that is about it although one of them still has the original box/paperwork. My father has a old homemade metal tackle box from the depression era given to him for doing some chores on a old family friends farm back in the 1970's. Kind of neat construction, very resourceful in creating cubbies for a variety of tackle.

My DH had his father's fly fishing rod probably from the 30s-40s. We sold it about 10 years ago for good $$$.

I don't really collect it but buy it for resale when I can. I do have a bamboo fly rod with antique reel as a wall hanger. Never found anything all that great but know some big bucks lures are out there.
