    Hi all,
I hope this thread is okay to post in this thread. I have been going thru items now that it is so hot outside. I have this machete,

Black Handle about 4.5 inches long which is secure but worn
Blade 17 ¾ from tip to base of handle
Width of blade is 1.5 inches graduated to 2 inches at the widest part.
on the blade I can read US and there are two capital letters TT - the rest is unreadable.

The shealth is high quality leather and has a leather stamp on it
Hecho en Columbia which translates to made in Columbia

At first I thought it might be from the war, but I looked in that category for bayonettes and did not see anything there like this.

I would appreciate input if you know anything about it.
    Thank you ! IMG_1650.JPG IMG_1651.JPG IMG_1651.JPG IMG_1652.JPG IMG_1654.JPG

Of course the sheath is not original to it. Probably WWII era. Maker is True Temper.

Thank you, I figured the sheath is not original, and WWI era does not surprise me as my Dad served in it. Thank you for the Maker ! That is helpful I think. Off to google some more.
