( I am using pics that are already on my lappy and as always, have lost any notion of knowing where I put this *thing* )

Does anyone know what this could be? A fly swatter perhaps ?:O

    Many thanks for any ideas

Meant to add: the beads are glass, and the only thing I found like it is this from the British Museum but that's coral. Just thought might be a similiar shape.

haha I know! Those poor flies! Though I don't imagine it's very accurate, rule of averages says it'll hit one or two due to its size :D x

Lariat, yes. I think the first one is a cap.

I don't know where I've stashed the dam thing to take measurements but I think it's too small for a hat thing, the hatty bit anyway ,that was my first thought and there was another reason why I didn't think was hat...which I have forgotten ;)

I'll try and dig the dam thing out of hiding x xx

Africa. The "lariat" likely could be worn as both a necklace and a belt.

Does it open at either end?

Only the one end is open...when I first picked it up I thought it was a misers purse and put it into my bag. Imagine my horror when I got it home and ... had no idea what it is. Still have no idea what it is
