    Hello,

I recently purchased 1,500+ bank notes i found this note.

The serial looks LOW, i am new to collecting items!

I know its not allowed to sell north Korean money on ebay or purchase it threw paypal
and your not allowed to take money in and out of the country.

The currency conversion rate for it is like £1 for £0000.50

however would this note have any value?
I also have 5,000 and 10,000 versions which are worth £5 and £15 UNC but they have much higher serial numbers.

    thank you,

Some North Korean notes find their way onto the market, some prominent NKs probably get allowed to travel, mainly to China and anything in China is for sale.
I'd buy the three notes for my collection for a reasonable price, I don't get out much nowadays so odd casual purchases are about the only way to build my collection. I'd probably also be interested in some of the rest of the notes you bought. What I will do is send you a personal message using the conversation facility here. As yoou are new I thought I'd better tell you to look out for a red tab top right of your page where it says 'inbox'. We are both in the UK.

As for the serial number, no one knows how many series with different prefixes they issued, each of 10 million (-1) notes. I don't think anythiing higher than a hundred would be considered low, and in any case, I'd not expect interest in modern North Korea to be specialised enough to worry about serial numbers.

I got some uncirculated NK money with low numbers last year, they were in a lot I bought from a collector.
    I collect banknotes too.

Nice photos and some low serials, so do our low serials have any value?

Minimal value and the prices you quoted for the uncirculated ₩5000 & ₩10,000 are the world exchange rates and hardly anyone does dealings with NK so I think you would struggle at your local bureau de change.
Good to collect though, not many folks have them.
