Hoping someone can help me with this. I see some of his work is hand colored. this doesn't seem to be. And his name is printed in gold, Not signed like other ones. Viewable area is 7 1/2" x 9 1/2"
And was framed by Lowman and Hanford Co. Seattle. They went out of business in 1955. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Oh it is Mount Ranier.

If it's Rainier, you need to buy a vowel. ;)

I wonder whether it was in sunlight for so long that it faded out the color?

I was off Googling and a lot of his showed up - looks like a lot of them are in identical frames to the one you have. Maybe it's the lighting or angle, but yours doesn't look as "gold" as many I saw. He sure loved to photograph Rainier!

That's MUCH better! I think you had too much direct light before and it washed the whole thing out.

Thanks Susan, the first ones were taken outside. I thought it might have been better. So much for thinking.

You're welcome. I sent them an email and some pictures to see what they can tell me about it and hopefully to verify that it is an orotone before i try to sell it.

Tim from orotone.org replied to my email and told me it was an orotone. Yay!! Unfortunately he also told me that the site is going down in a few days.
Thank you all for your comments and likes.
