    Just showing off,,,
I was very pleased finding this piece. Early Maruki import mark dates to 1906.
Measures 6" diameter. and with the exceptions of wear to the rim paint it is in excellent condition.

    Very nice.

I've had 2 pieces with similar brown rim and slip decorated tan bisque handles, but they were both Noritake.

I think yours is better painted.

This is Noritake, this mark is the second import mark. A few years later the word Noritake was added.

I have a few, but just one with a handle decorated like that. I'll post my pics when I get home later.

All of these belonged to my mother, with most if not all of them coming to her from her mother and even her grandmother.

    This is about 10" across.

I only have three of these small gems:

    I love these a lot:

And this was with the above sugar & creamer, but I don't think it's Noritake?

I'll have to make a new post for the other one I wanted to show you.

This is the piece I mentioned, with the handle similar to yours. I believe I dated the mark to the...mid or late 1800's. Please correct me if I'm wrong!

Finally, these are my little mustard pots - which may become my own collection obsession. The second one is the only piece that wasn't my mother's; I bought it on eBay.

I have some plates, cups and saucers and a coffee (or chocolate?) pot with the oranges/browns 'Tree In a Meadow' pattern, too, but they are still packed away.

That's it for my modest collection!

Aw, thank you. I'm such a newbie; my mother had a truly staggering number of lovely things but sadly I never paid a lot of attention and definitely didn't ask enough questions. She knew a lot about old things.

Oh, wonderful! Thank you. Can you tell me which decades, please? I don't necessarily trust my own research just yet. ;)

My grandparents on my mother's side had a lot of nice items too. But in my younger days, I didn't pay attention as I should have. My mind was just on enjoying being with them. Like you I should have asked many questions. I have some of their things here to remember them by.

    Live and learn right?
