Featured Noah Squared Franklin Von Hoanhine The 6th 2019

Hi all! Happy post-holiday chaos! I'm in LA but safe from the fires. Smoke is insane but today the skies are blue for the first time all week.

I did some research, but I'm more confused now. I picked this up at an estate sale this morning. Is Noah Squared the style or the artist? I get some weird info on Franklin Von Hoanhine that I'm pretty sure isn't the artist.

I've only found one exact image search result on 1stdibs. There's a little squiggle at the bottom right, but I don't think that's a signature. And the back has the tag of the place that framed it.

Anyone familiar with this? I absolutely love it!

 

Its giving Keith Haring vibes big time. You need to pop it out of the frame to see if theres any info on the back or a signature at the bottom hidden by the mat.

 

It definitely gave me 80s MTV nostalgia vibes.

 

I'm sure that isn't even a name. 'Von' is German, Hoanhine isn't anything in any language.
Maybe they mean von Hohenheim?
Paracelsus was born as a von Hohenheim, but he died in the 16th century and was a doctor and scholar, not a 20th century painter.

I only got that info from the 1stdibs.com site. I would LOVE for this to be a work of Haring. Omg.

 

Unfortunately, one of the worst offenders, in terms of doling out misinformation...

 

I just looked him up, and yes, very similar. Love his work, too!
