Awhile back in a post, I mentioned Tela Flora Glass, and how they had some nice pieces that they contracted for to use for their arrangements. I thought I would post pics of some of the nicer pieces that are often listed and sold as "vintage" High End Pieces. Sadly a lot of people are fooled and pay way to much for some of these.

    1. Is a Cameo Glass Acorn Vase.
    2. Purple Nativity Vase. Thick Glass
    3. Purpley Pinkish Art Glass Vase
    4. Orange w/ Black Rim Tango Like Bowl

  2. There are a couple of sizes of the last one. A friend sold one through his shop for $75 a few weeks back, showed me a pic after it was gone

Yes and folks will argue with you if you tell them.

LOL....isn't that the truth! A vendor that I have bought a lot of things from in the past had one of those Oak Leaf Cameo Vases in his booth with it priced at $175 and a tag that said Galle?. I had to tell him what it was......and he INSISTED i was lying to him so he would let me have it for a bargain price. I told him I already had 2 and both had Telaflora Stickers on them. He STILL didn't believe me.

I've been seeing a LOT of the Galle with Made In China stickers at the thrift stores lately. It is mostly decent looking stuff. I'll bet most gets the sticker removed by resellers.

I suppose it could all come from some factory in china. I bet Tela Flora designs what it wants and orders it through the same factory.
There is also a little lavender ribbed pitcher from TF that is shown on the ChataboutDG site as "Maker Unknown" I was going to tell them about it, but didn't find a link to do so. It is ribbed like the Hazel Atlas Fine Rib Pattern, and looks very similar.

I was suprised to see it on a Depression Glass Site

Is the acorn "Galle" signed with a fake siggie?

If not, it might be coming out of Romania. There is a company that used to display at the SF gift show with beautiful glass reminiscent of Galle but without the signature.

If it has the fake signature, then China.

No. None of them are signed. They all have a Tela Flora sticker when delivered though.

    Hi,
I was at a really low class flea market. One "dealer" had a Tela flora Galle vase on his table. I asked him how much and he said "450 but please do not hand me a 5 dollar bill like some woman just did." Tried to tell him but he was convinced it was the real deal.

My daughters use to work in a floral shop so I had a box full of nice vases....I put them in 2 garage sales and no one would touch them for anything. I ended up putting them at the curb. hallelujah they're gone! They were all very nice looking.....good luck if you can get a anything for them I guess

    Hi Sharon,
Such a shame. I have two friends that run a florist shop and I always buy them vases at yard sales, even just the normal clear ones. They pay me triple on what I spend since it is cheaper than buying them from the supply houses.

If I were a florist that would make good sense, they don't sell for much. I know one was a large orange open art glass vase the others were nice too, but I was frustrated and down to the curb they went. If you can't get a buck at a sale.....bye bye

Nice selection Brad. A couple I had not seen before. The red and green vase I see all the time as antique Rubina Verde. The Gold vase with the rolled down sides is one I see often also.

I actually sold the clear tulip fan vase in my B&M. Been a year, can't remember if I had it marked 9.95 or 11.95, but it sold within a month or two.

    Love this edit button.
Wanted to add that I have sold some of the ceramic rabbit vases for about the same price.

I'm not suprised. A Lot of the Telaflora stuff is very nice looking glass on it's own. I'm sure within the near future a lot of it will be come a desired collectible. I always pick up the nicer pieces if I see them at garage sales or TS's cheap. I'll pack them away and wait patiently!! LOL.

What shocked me though, is that a couple years ago one of the Purple Nativity vases sold on eBay Listed as a Moser Alexandrite Vase. Sold well over $200.........I was tempted to list mine, but couldn't get my darn conscious to agree.

Had to laugh. I was searching eBay listings and ran across Vase No. 4 in Verybrads post listed for $110 as Vintage Hand Blown Pitcher Vase

It's scary how nice looking a few of those are, and how little they are worth. Could see how it would be a minefield if you were at a high end estate sale and those things were scattered throughout.
