    Greeting everyone,

Here are my two finds for the day, my cheap thrill came in at 54 cents total. Can anyone help with the knife? It would be great to learn the maker/time period.

I'm curious about you calling the knife Russian. Doesn't look like any Russian marking I've seen before (or have been able to find in a browse through a couple good sites.

Just for the sake of it, here's a link to the 925-1000 Library listing of "world standards." I see that they mention Russia with the other countries that have .916 as an acceptable silver standard, although they specify that it is the equivalent of 88 zlotnicki.

Thanks for the response Bakersgma, it's a bit hard to see in the photos, but there is a very clear hammer and sickle so I immediately thought USSR/Russia (perhaps in error).

Soviet, 1958 on, should be a tiny Cyrillic letter to the left of the star indicating the assay office...

Thank you Cheryl! The number to the left of the star appears to be a 3. Here is my best "loupe work" to show it a bit clearer:

The 3 is a Russian Z, the mark of the Talinn assay office.
Talinn is the capital of Estonia, which is now an independent state.
