A few years ago I purchased a few jewelry items from an elderly lady own the street from me. At the time she told me 2 pieces had the pin replaced so I don't know what the original was like. I went back to ask her but she had passed away. This pin is about 3" long, a little hard to get the exact measurements. The heart swings from the piece.

It's all mass produced stamped metal. Probably '70s or newer.

What does the text in the locket say?

With the clasp being replaced and without a maker's mark it's almost impossible to date, die stamped jewelry has existed for at least 100 years.

From the way the locket is made and the back on the pin, this is pretty recent. I wouldn't worry about it being even close antique. At best it's 1980s but it could have been made the week before you got it.

Looks 2nd half of the 20th century to me as well. If those are words inside the locket (bottom right) that could be a clue as Terry suggested.

    Padiddily Links, maybe?

I get the feeling it's a married piece and the heart was a pendant. Not sure what would have gone on the loop, but the two pieces look different stylistically to me.

All the pididdily links I've ever come across are brass or brass colored, though I've admittedly not come across that many in my life.

I think it looks like a married piece as well. That locket especially doesn't look old (well, actually neither piece looks that old).
