Thank you for letting me join. I have a far amount of old wooden furniture and have very little knowledge of different types of wood or where to get evaluations for them. So I decided to join to get some advice on pieces and to possibly be directed to places to sell them,

What would be the best way to get some info on some furniture? To start with I have a huge Edwardian (i believe) wardrobe thingy made of some kind of hard wood….best to upload a few pics and what to hear from people?

 

Yes - take some good pictures - overall and construction details. Start a thread about the item in the Furniture Forum, upload the pictures so they appear in the thread and the furniture people will find it.

 

Some tech details:

Each image MUST be UNDER 1 MB....
there are instructions on site here on how to reduce the size of your image, if that is the problem......you are allowed up to 8 images per post!!! Here are some links to the instructions:

Try emailing them to yourself as "medium" size, they should then be under 1 MB!

Welcome! and if you're old school like me, you go find a photo editing program to download if you don't have one that'll let you resize. I have Ifanview on my PC. Works nicely.
