New MCM Master (to me anyway)

Here's a piece i grabbed for $5 at a yard sale. It's a new MCM name to me-Ward Bennett.10" high and originally silver plated,though I've seen few if any with the plating intact.
PS-Sorry,had to steal a few pics because as soon as I brought it home my sweetie put a plant in it (making it tough to photograph the base and form).

 

I wasn't familiar with him either. Surprised because his work is fab.

Ditto Debora-Here's another pic I found of this piece w/ a very interesting patina (wish i could pull it off-but patina chem's tough).

 

How big izzit? Looks huge on that round table.
That's one helluva piece of brass, Bosko!

 

It's 10" high by 10" across (at top lip).

My pleasure Whit-really like the combination of the globular and cubed form in this (or squared half-globe ?).Better stop before i totally confuse myself.

The book 'Ward Bennett.' Edited by Elizabeth Beer and Brian Janusiak. Published by Phaidon in 2017. His work is spectacular. Don't know why he wasn't on my radar in the years when he should have been. And, as for cats, I've got that covered, thank you. There's a line at the door every morning waiting for a vacancy.
