    Hello All!
    I'm new,just looking around and trying to identify the style and age of a set of garden benches and chairs I found on one of my job sites(you will be amazed what a builder can find in UK building sites)!

    hi.
    Thanks for the warm welcome! the above are the items I was talking about.
    I got 2 benches and 2 chairs, all foldable. the backing on the backrest is some kind of ceramic.
    The original paint is black. Well,it was. I will try to clean and restore them to their glory. Or sell them.(not much space in the garden).. and some cash is helpful for my new motorcycle :astronaut:

    I've seen a folding bench before, but not one with the ceramic or enamel panels. Someone is going to take those off your hands.

    The chairs and bench are terrific!!!!! Bench under the arms need a little work, but, HEY!!! They're lovely!!! And WELCOME!!!!!

    I'm just waiting for the van to collect.By the weekend I will be able to get some better pictures. A closer look reveals some beautiful craftmanship. That guy was a god of metal work .
    Back to me as new on the forum:
    I collected and traded many antiques for the past 15 years.
    I had the luck to find in cellars,bassements,lofts all kind of things. From Scottish art nouveau pendants to Russian pre Red October Hebraica silverware .
    I even had a 1950 Hobbs of Barbican bicycle or a Raileigh 1960,1950 pool table, first edition of colour print Pettit Larousee,Old cast iron fans,a 1938 English edition of Mein Kampf,all kind of other old books,limited edition posters from the 50s,porcelainware ,a 1925,30 August edition of The San Francisco Examiner(found behind a Chinese paint on glass bought in Pekin and travelled all the way to Paris back in 2001)and the usual mud and garbage that comes along !
    I will keep you all updated with the garden set I just collected :)

    Oh! Better news! There is a 3d chair with the same pattern tile on the back rest and similar but black in the seat ,but a little less detail on the metal work.Me happy :)
