Could somebody help me identify this piece? No markings i could find. Aprox 5-6 ft tall. Does look like the front end swings down almost like a secretary desk but don't have the key to verify. (It's locked )

Victorian. circa 1890. Likely a desk but could also see this being a music or liquor cabinet. It is oak with a dry finish that some sprucing up would do wonders for. Finish looks intact so probably just needs to be cleaned and rejuvenated.

I once bought a locked desk and found a key for it at a hardware store, much to my surprise.Whatever you do,DONT pry it open.Itll forever ruin it.I do hope youll show once once you get it open, and I hope its full of treasure!

Usually antique dealers who have stores will have
keys on hand for such problems. Maybe call and ask them if they do, then take your desk (?) up there and hopefully they can open it.

My husband is a locksmith and people bring antique furniture in all the time or have him go out to their house to open things. Find someone experienced for this!
