Need help with Chinese? Items

I recently acquired a large lot of antiques and I could really use some help identifying what these are and if there is any value in them. One item pic wouldn't upload but it is what modern day would be called a vent cover/ register and is carved wood. It has a Chinese customs wax seal which is why I'm lead to believe the collection is Chinese. Any help is greatly appreciated.

 

The firescreen isn't Chinese, in my opinion. I don't think the screen or table are, either. If I saw them here, I'd think the table to be early 20th C in the Oriental style, the screen likewise. I suspect the firescreen embroidery may have been done by someone who liked the style, but a close up of the work is needed. That metal plaque is an oddity: an Oriental jazz band. Looks more 1960s than anything. I can't make out enough of that other piece.

 

The band plaque has a bottom left signature? Lil Gray?

 

Yes it says Lil Gray. It is wood backing but almost feels like paper mache or ? On the picture. It's a little squishy.

The "band" only has one musician playing the bass. The fellow to the right of him is a painter - see the brush and palette? The seated guy appears to be writing and the table he's leaned on has the "theater masks" on its support - a playwright? They also appear to more like African-American faces to me than Asian. (And I say American because of the skyscrapers behind them.)

 

I agree with Bake on the plaque not being Chinese. Not sure if it is Afro-American either. Here is another hammered copper plaque by Lil Gray that the seller is calling "Judaic."
