Need help with Asian plate #1 - Samurai Warriors

    I believe this is a Japanese plate, BWDIK.
    The design looks almost like enameling? in spots.
    I checked out Gotheborg, but either I missed it or it wasn't there.
    It is 7" across.

    I think Japanese but upside down.

    I'll see if I can post another one right side up.

    I forgot to add that I had found a similar plate listed on ebay that said it was done in the Meiji period/late 19th century/c.1880. However, I have been doing this long enough to know that without corroboration that information is useless.

    I had the photo in the opposite direction just in case I was wrong, which I usually amm when it comes to Asian marks with characters. ;) :p

    I think that is the Hichozan Fukagawa mark, early Meiji seems right. The other pieces you posted are also Meiji Imari, except plate #2, which should be Chinese. Bowl #2 could also be very late Edo.
