Was wondering if anyone might know the maker of this pendant necklace. Signed on the back RM. Has one blue rhinestone and eight amethyst rhinestones. Measures 1 1/2" in diameter. I know nothing about jewelry, so any help on the maker or the proper way to describe this necklace will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

It's not old enough for me to venture a guess. It's probably fairly recent.

What is interesting is that I am seeing another set of initials, too. Look at the close-up photo, just to the right and a touch lower than the "M". Almost looks like (c) T.M. or maybe just T.M. ? Do you see that?

I agree, a newer piece. Is it sterling?

Hello and thanks for all of the help. No marks except for the ones, you see in the picture, definitely not silver. Was wondering if anyone had an opinion on whether this was mass produced or done by an individual artisan? Also someone suggested to me that this was some type of Celtic knot or rune symbol. I have looked but have not been able to gather a 100% match. but some simliar ones. Thanks again.

Compare this with a brand of costume jewellery with a Celtic look called 'Miracle'.

The Miracle stuff is quite popular at $10-20 or so, for the 'look' and is reasonably well made. This looks like a cheaper version.

    What's the chain clasp like?

I suspect the TM next to the copyright circle actually means trademark. The R M is the significant thing.

Yes, modern, yes in the style of Miracle's Celtic stuff and many others.

I agree with the suggestion to post a picture of the chain clasp. The more info in the photos, the better.

I think the copyright date on this is 1987. To the right of the copyright mark is 87' and a couple of marks after this like n1.

    don't you see the T M ?
the 2 dots in front of the T are just part of the design.
    imho...

I haven't found the RM mark but I believe this is a Scottish design as AF mentioned with the reference to the Miracle brand.

Thanks for all of the information. The chain and clasp are new something I had laying around and put the pendant on. I believe you are right the TH next to the signature probably just stands for trademark. Probably will never find out the artists name, so I will just list it with the information that I have. I have a few more pieces of jewelry that I recently acquired at an auction, that I will also be posting. Hopefully they will be a little easier to identify.

Point of order. ;) It's Celtic, and that can be Scottish, Irish, Welsh or even Breton.
