Hello I found this lamp base and initially I thought it could be asian, until I saw the bottom which has a "F".

Could anyone give me some suggestion of the manufacture?

Looks Chinese sang-de boeuf, could it be a Chinese character not an "F"?
That wooden base is a high quality Chinese base, and older for sure.

I'm in with the Franciscan ID. I've never had a piece with the early square F mark, but the oxblood glaze fits into the same period. BTW, there is a little book about Franciscan lamps, but I don't have it.
