    Hi all,

My girlfriend and I found this oversized armchair/chaise lounge at a thrift store recently. Unfortunately, someone else bought it before we had the chance to. I'd like to track down another, but I can't find anything about it. The store didn't have any manufacturer info, and reverse image searching got me nothing. Hoping someone on here might be able to help me narrow down what this piece is.

Also, excuse the giant, black scribble. I only have pictures of the piece with my girlfriend sitting on it :)

That fabric looks 1980s to me. I always thought these were called chaise lounges . That may be a custom piece. Ive seen large ones, but never quite that large. I really like the fabric too. If you are going to thrift you MUST learn this valuable lesson...that is to always buy what you like because it will NOT be there later!

Originally chaise longue, French for “chair long“ meaning “long chair“.

The over-sized proportion makes me think 1980s too. I wonder if it's not missing a matching ottoman.

Here is one made by Marshfield furniture in WI. I used to carry this brand and can attest that they are well made and reasonably priced. Available in a choice of fabrics. They are a regional maker so might be hard to find outside the Midwest.
