I purchased this teapot yesterday at a yard sale for $5. I thought it would be relatively easy to find information about it, but it's harder than I thought.

Does anyone know anything about this designer/age of the item or where I can find information?

    Thank you! image1.jpg image2.JPG

They were bought out by haviland china in 1958 , so we can figure this was before that date . They started using " L'Aluminite " in 1911 , so this MIGHT be from before 1911 though the shape makes me think its later than that .
Research Rene Frugier and maybe you can find out more .

IMHO, this is a coffee pot, not a tea pot. Remember the childhood rhyme, "I'm a little teapot, short & stout"

The different shapes for tea pots and coffee pots result from the nature of tea and coffee. Tea leaves float and the spout, which joins the body of the tea pot near the bottom, allows the liquid brew to flow out from under them. Coffee grounds, on the other hand, sink, so the spout is typically mounted near the top of the coffee pot, allowing the coffee to flow out from above the grounds.

    Benefits of Green Tea
A young woman arrived to her doctor with black and blue signs of beating.

    Doctor, “What happened?”

Woman, “Doctor, I do not know what to do, whenever my husband comes home drunk he beats the hell out of me, almost killing me.”

Doctor, “I have a really good medication for it. When your husband comes home drunk you just take a glass of Green tea and start to gargle and gargle, as much as you can do …… and that’s all you have to do”

Two weeks later the woman returns to the doctor reborn and with a grateful look in her eyes ….

Woman, “Doctor, that was a brilliant medicine! Every time my husband came home drunk, I gargled and gargled with Green tea and nothing happened! He Has gone straight to bed.”

Doctor, “You see how it helps to keep your mouth shut?”:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::smuggrin::smuggrin::smuggrin::smuggrin::smuggrin:
