Need help identifying chair's history

Hi all,

I'm an antiquing newbie and would love someone's help to learn more about a chair set I have in my possession. I've done an online search to try to find an emblem that's similar to this one, but really didn't have any luck. Have any of you seen anything like this? I'm looking for any information, but would certainly love to know the probable country of origin and approximate age and value.

Normally, seeing an eagle, a star and a laurel wreath below makes me think American. But are you not in the US?

I think our resident furniture guru, VeryBrad, will want to see the seat minus the cushion and a better look at the legs and underside.

It is a typical American colonial style chair in oak. would think 1950s or so but a better look might persuade me that it is older. The medallion looks to be pewter and is not typical. Makes me think the chair was for some particular purpose but maybe just decoration.

 

Brad, I think this chair is later and meant to be part of the 1976 Bicentennial commemoratives.

I went searching and came up with another pair. The condition and type of wood appears to be a little better than Katelyn's. Don't know if other manufacturers did this type of work.

@KatelynGrace any marks on the bottom of the seat?

 

Would make sense .... hard to tell much from these pics. However, I don't see much similarity between this chair and the two in your link other than they both have medallions. Some more/better pics are in order here.
