    Hi all,

Hoping someone can help me date two porcelain jars my friend showed me. They look similar to two Ming water jars I have, but then again they aren't quite the same. From the kiln grit at the bottom and the way the foot rim is trimmed and colored, my guess is they are hand made. There are some dead bubbles in the glaze, although I know that's a disputed way of dating porcelain. On the other hand, the flower decor looks like it is painted on in a sloppy way... that makes me think it could be quite recent.

Does anyone have any ideas? All comments are much appreciated!

    Thanks.

RhbBtv. if you can edit your post and click on Full image it would help. The pictures are a little dark or shadowed and people (not me) who would be able to give you answers will probably want better pictures.
