Necklace With Jade Pendant

Saw this today in a consignment store priced at $225. Do you think it has a good reselling potential?
No precious metal and the beads look nothing special to me. But I wonder how good the jade is, natural or treated, old or recent?

 

Thumbs down. Not well made, home crafts person quality, very green pendant probably not jade. Value here is in constituent components & not sure they add up to $225. The faceted rock crystal beads are the best bit.

 

What do you mean very green? If jade, I think it’s a very desirable green if not dyed of course.

 

I mean it's so green, it probably is dyed & may not even be jade. Could just as well be dyed chalcedony. You would expect a very valuable piece of worked jade to be set in good metal. Altogether, looks to me like someone salvaged the pendant from another necklace. I can only say that I would not venture $225 on it.

 

Jade does come in that deep green color but I can’t tell if it’s type A,B, or C or even dyed chalcedony.

 

It is jade, and doesn't look dyed to me, the colour layering looks natural. This is the brightly coloured Burmese jadeite jade the Chinese came to love during the Qing dynasty.
There is no great age to the necklace, the jade is very nice, I like the amethyst and smoky quartz beads as well, but the price waaay too high.
