Necklace probably silver, but have no idea about date

    image.jpg image.jpg Hope someone can help with a likely date for this. It is 34 inches long, the thin hollow twisted pieces are an inch long and 6mm wide threaded on wire. The ring clasp has 925 marked but nothing else is. It weighs 61 grams. Thankyou in hope.

    I'd guess 1980s from the size and style of the clasp. Most of the sterling clasps from the 90s on have been lobster claws and quite a bit smaller. Those big ones are usually from the 80s.

    Thanks Evelyb30. A Charity Shop find, I'm not really surprised it was given away as it's long and cumbersome to wear, would have looked ok with massive padded shoulders jacket.

    I'd cheerfully wear it, especially over a jumper. Sweater to the Americans. If it's long enough you could always wear it doubled.
