Tell me what the sign next to the word "Sterling" means. On the right it is faintly visible - "Sterling", on the left is an incomprehensible brand. 20210410_210034.jpg 20210410_210053.jpg 20210410_210122.jpg 20210410_210138.jpg 2021-05-03.jpg

It should be mentioned, however, that this cannot legally be offered for sale as Navajo or Native American, since it was mass produced, relatively inexpensive machine stamped jewelry, sold through tourist stops and trading posts across the West, not authentic pieces made entirely by Native Americans.

Although Bell did employ some Native American silversmiths, the items produced can only be sold as "Southwest" design. Even though the law is frequently violated, it is clearly stated in the federal Indian Arts and Crafts Act of 1990.
