I paid a lot for this beat up belt buckle, because I think it is older. In order to confirm my suspicions, I have to identify the mark. (If it not old, it was certainly well used.) I have searched the references sources that I found here, and I couldn't find it. But maybe it isn't Navajo, so that's why. I just thought it looked like old Navajo pieces.

It may be too big for me to wear as it is 3 3/4 inches long and 2 1/2 inches wide, and I wear an American size 4 jeans. Anyway, it was too beautiful to pass up. Does anyone recognize this mark?

But still, VERY NICE and LOVE the stone!!! CANNOT identify, OR clarify too much!! Enlarged, contrasted and added some color to help it stand out.......but can't really make it out......

Your effort is greatly appreciated! I had just assumed that upper part said "sterling" but now that you have worked your magic, there is clearly a "P" Thank you

This was under G, rather than pictographs.

Ah ha. Okay. So, do you think that the name that @Aquitaine found is the artist?

If you read the thread and thread included, it explains that this mark does not indicate a specific maker.

Thanks Aqui, Couldn't have found it without your help. I thought it was a C, not a G until you sharpened photo.
